Owner, RYT 200, RYT 500

Vicki Green, Owner of The Yoga Kula Collective, began her yoga studies in 2010. When Vicki was dealing with the grief of her mother’s untimely passing, a friend referred to her yoga and meditation to begin her healing journey. She quickly started to notice how she felt more centered and began to let go of the pain she was holding within.

Her passion for yoga and philosophy grew because she felt so much better, and it brought her a sense of peace. Vicki was surprised by how much yoga would bless her life, especially when she gained clarity about her own self-destructive behaviors that were no longer serving her best interests. She also noticed how much more energy she had, and she felt lighter than she had felt in a very long time.

After a few years of consistently attending yoga classes, Vicki realized that part of her life purpose was to be a yoga teacher, which included practice and philosophy. In early 2017, she completed her first 200-hour yoga training in Hatha Yoga. In 2018, she obtained her certification in Yoga Nidra. Her love for yoga continued to flourish.

Eager to continue expanding her knowledge of yoga philosophy and Vinyasa flow, she completed her second 200-hour yoga teacher training. Her practice is inspired by other teachers, and she is committed to continuing to advance her yoga knowledge. Vicki completed her 500-hour yoga training, primarily focusing on mantra and meditation. In addition to her teaching and studies, Vicki is certified in Yin Yoga and is working to achieve her certification in Prenatal Yoga.

Vicki’s students love her classes because they consist of a meditative flow style with a focus on breath with movement. Her style allows her students to find a healthy balance of energetic alignment in the postures while maintaining the integrity of the breath.

When the opportunity to open The Yoga Kula Collective studio presented itself, Vicki knew this was her chance to move from teacher to yoga studio owner. Being a studio owner has been a dream of hers and now she was able to see it come to fruition.

Vicki named the studio The Yoga Kula Collective because Yoga, which is Sanskrit, stands for unity, Kula, another Sanskrit word, stands for community, and Collective stands for bringing the community together. Her vision is to educate others on the meaning of yoga and help students achieve a sense of peace with themselves.

Vicki would like her yoga community to know everyone is welcome, no matter what your beliefs are and your yoga background.

In addition, Vicki is a Veteran of the US Air Force Reserves. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking and kayaking when her schedule permits as well as sneaking off the beach every now and then. You will often see her accompanied by her dog, Montana, and her life partner and soulmate, Roger.
